Singapore - The signing of the US-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in May will generate large volumes of corporate travel between the US, Singapore and ASEAN in the mid to long term.

SINGAPORE - American Express (Amex) is launching a new corporate card targeted at mid-sized companies in Singapore, claiming the card allows them better bargaining power and the advantage of volume discounts of up to 70 per cent a year on travel and entertainment (T&E) expenses.

Good riddance, SARS

What a terrible mess SARS got us all in. The last two months or so felt so long, and so lonely, as Asia got isolated. What SARS did was in effect quarantine business travel, especially to, and from, SARS-affected areas. It wreaked havoc on business growth, thereby crippling further corporate travel.
Videoconferencing offers continuity
What a challenging time we are facing as corporate travel managers, where we have to find the right path to take to protect our travellers and to ensure that business goes on. It is a struggle for us.
