Bali – Dream destination Bali used to be a nightmare for those who want to stay connected. Not anymore. A string of Bali hotels have upgraded their technology, as business travel and meetings see a comeback here.
One of these is the Ritz-Carlton, Bali Resort and Spa, which has a wi-fi hotspot wireless broadband service – the first in Bali. Through Biznet Hotspot technology, notebook users have full Internet access, without cables, within the Ritz-Carlton. The system can be used with any notebook or PDA with wi-fi enabled cards, available from the hotel, for Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
Not to be outdone, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel Bali has opened @break Business Centre, to support its major market, the meeting and conferences market.
@break at the Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel Bali is equipped with high speed broadband Internet service, pre-paid Internet card – the first in Bali – Fuji Xerox document printing, copying and binding, and advanced Internet Protocol Printing, allowing confidential printing from remote locations.
Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel Bali director of sales and marketing, Ms Alice Matulessy, said: “We have also added an online conference registration and conference management system, letting conference delegates register online directly to the hotel, with instant database updates for conference organisers.”
