Asia-Pacific still the one
The Asia-Pacific region excluding Japan will grow six per cent up to 2007, making it the fastest-growing region, while western markets have reached a plateau. China alone will grow seven per cent in 2003. The growth for South-east Asia will not be as great and Japan is still a problem. But it is still ahead of Europe and the US.

COMMENTARY

All the right signs and spirit

It is, all too soon, our last issue of the year. In the industry, however, many cannot say goodbye to 2003 soon enough. It was a cruel year, testing the mettle of many companies which had not even fully recovered from the crises of 2002 and 2001.

Far from doom and gloom
SARS affected us dramatically and we have been suffering from the economic recession for some time. But I am very optimistic about the recovery of corporate travel in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
