BRIEFING

Aeroline triples executive coaches
More services target business travellers on day trips
By Laura Lee

Kuala Lumpur – Zuco, which operates the Aeroline luxury first-class coach service plying Singapore-Kuala Lumpur-Singapore, is upgrading its fleet of 23 coaches and increasing its services from three daily to nine as at mid-December.

Its existing trips operate mainly in the mornings and evenings. CEO, Mr Law Cheok Gheen, said the early morning trips would be ideal for business travellers on day trips to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.

The upgrading exercise will see all its doubledecker coaches offering a business lounge, which can seat six passengers, at the lower deck. The lounge will feature a 19-inch TV, DVD player and a satellite radio that provides 24 hours live business news from CNN and Bloomberg.

Other unique features include kinetic colour therapy for relaxation and low-reclining massage seats.

Mr Law said power sockets, available only in the business lounge of some of its coaches now, would also be made available in all the seats at the upper deck to accommodate the increasing number of executives carrying laptops during the journey.

He said Aeroline, which ends its journey at Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur, had launched another stop at Menara Axis. This is to cater to the increasing number of passengers boarding or disembarking at Petaling Jaya. Zuco also recently launched its online ticketing for coach tickets, hotel booking and other services.
