The Travelers' Lounge
The Travelers' Lounge has opened a 24-hour commercial lounge at Hong Kong International Airport. The lounge is accessible to all classes of travellers at HK$250 (US$32). Located at West Hall (near Gate 60), Departures Level, services and facilities include all day dining, shower areas, Internet access, international newspapers and magazines, international TV channels and a comfortable seating area.

Express opening
The 269-room Express by Holiday Inn Causeway Bay Hong Kong is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2005. It is the first Express branded hotel in Hong Kong. The property is in the heart of Causeway Bay next to Times Square. It has two meeting rooms and five restaurants.

HeliHongKong offers
HeliHongKong has started helicopter night tours. At US$125 per person, the 12-minute flight starts from West Kowloon Heliport and flies over Victoria Harbour, Stonecutters Island, the International Finance Centre, the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre and Kai Tak Airport.

Shangri-La refurbishes
Kowloon Shangri-La has refurbished its 552m2 grand ballroom. The room is divisible into three smaller units. Plasma TVs outside display information on the layout plan, seating arrangements for banquets and live broadcasts of events happening inside.

A touch of Paris
The new Rive Droite Rive Gauche restaurant brings a touch of Paris to Hong Kong. Signature dishes include homemade foie gras with compote of pear, preserved ginger, honey sauce and brioche. Another is duck legs, grandmother's mashed potatoes with pine nuts and black olive sauce. It is at 29 Wyndham Street, around the corner from the famed Lan Kwai Fong entertainment precinct. There are 43 French wines on the list with nine selections by the glass.
