The 575-room Marina Mandarin Singapore reopened on September 1 after a S$25 million (US$15 million), three-and-a-half-month renovation.
Following the renovation, the hotel will focus more effort on wooing the business meetings market as well as incentive, conference and exhibition organisers.
Corporate facilities to come online by the end of the year include a 24-hour executive centre, a 24-hr gym, 37-inch plasma TVs in Premier and Meritus Club Rooms, wireless broadband Internet in all rooms, and a new international restaurant, Peach Blossoms, which together with Ristorante Bologna will have a Chef's Table suited for business entertainment.
Services offered by the executive centre will include private meeting room arrangments, secretarial and communication facilities such as facsimile, Internet, email and courier services. Arrangements for handphones, photocopiers, fax machines and other office equipment can be made there.
Corporate events can be staged in the pillarless Marina Ballroom and 20 meeting rooms varying in size to cater for 10 to 200 people, as individual as a private boardroom or as informal as a breakout room.
General manager, Mr Tony Cousens, said: "We have always taken pride in our attention to detail to ensure events not only meet but also exceed expectations. Now, with the latest in audiovisual equipment and centralised intelligent lighting that moves with the mood of the occasion, we will present to clients a truly enhanced facility."
The hotel is part of Marina Bayfront, which is going to be the location for one of Singapore's two planned billion-dollar integrated resort developments.
